Ready to chase the Northern Lights? So is our local team — equipped with knowledge and experience to give you the best chance on your aurora adventure.
Your evening begins with a pickup in Tromsø city center. From there, we set off on a true Northern Lights chase, venturing far from the city lights in search of clear skies and auroral activity.

Our experienced guide and driver work closely together, monitoring weather forecasts and solar data in real time. The route is flexible and may take us deep into the fjords, up into the mountains, or even across the border into Finland — wherever the best chances are that night. The focus of this tour is the chase itself — we’ll keep moving and adapting our route as long as there’s a realistic chance of spotting the Northern Lights. Along the way, we’ll make stops to enjoy a hot drink and a snack.

Professional photos of the experience are included, so even if your phone can’t capture the aurora, you’ll still take home magical memories. Our guide can also assist with camera settings.
After the chase, we’ll bring you safely back to your original pickup point in Tromsø.

      • The chase can last up to 6 hours, so come prepared for a long evening.
      • We do not provide clothing, so remember to dress warmly in layers.
      • Wear proper winter shoes to stay comfortable outdoors.
      • While we can’t guarantee that you’ll see the Northern Lights, our experienced team will do everything possible to give you the best chance of spotting them.
      • Bring your own water bottle.
      • We reserve the right to cancel the tour at any time due to safety concerns, weather conditions, or if the minimum number of participants is not met. In such cases, you will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule for another available date.
      • Please be prepared for limited toilet facilities. We will make a stop at a gas station during the drive; beyond that, the only option will be in the forest.
      • Please bring your passport with you in case you need to cross to Finland during the tour
      • You must travel with travel insurance.
      • Most importantly — don’t forget to bring your adventurous spirit!
      • Meeting Point: Please meet outside the main entrance of Scandic Ishavshotel (Fredrik Langes gate 2, 9008 Tromsø). Look for a guide holding an Aurora Wonderland sign.
